Matthew Wiesner

RESEARCH SCIENTIST

I’m a Research Scientist at the HLTCOE working on speech technologies. I am interested in all aspects of speech research, but especially ASR, representation learning, generative modeling of speech, and speech translation. I finished my dissertation at the Center for Language and Speech Processing at Johns Hopkins University, advised by Dr. Sanjeev Khudanpur. It focused on cross-lingual and multilingual modeling of speech. I received my B.E. in Electrical Engineering (2013) from McGill University and M.S. in Electrical Engineering (2016) from Johns Hopkins University.
