Chandler May

Research Associate

Chandler May is a research associate at the Human Language Technology Center of Excellence, where she focuses on enabling human annotation of natural language data and improving natural language processing software infrastructure. Chandler has a PhD in computer science from Johns Hopkins University, where she researched the relationship between theory and practice in topic modeling and was advised by Benjamin Van Durme. She has a BS in mathematics from Harvey Mudd College, and between college and graduate school she performed applied research and software engineering at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory.
