Zachary Lubberts is a Research Scientist with the Human Language Technology Center of Excellence, with a joint appointment in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics as an Assistant Research Professor. He received his PhD from Johns Hopkins University, where he worked with Youngmi Hur on constructing multidimensional tight wavelet frames using tools from real algebraic geometry. His current research focuses on statistics and optimization, and especially the interplay between those fields for solving problems in Natural Language Processing.
