I am a senior research scientist at the Johns Hopkins University Human Language Technology Center of Excellence (HLTCOE). Previously, I was professor and chair at the Loyola University Maryland (2003-2019). I received my A.B. in 1997 from Dartmouth College and PhD in 2003 from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, both in Computer Science. My research interests include information retrieval, named entity recognition, and entity linking. I am also interested in applying NLP and IR techniques to improve software analysis.
